This second simulator will provide many years of high quality, effective training. Simulators allow for repeated practice of specific maneuvers and procedures, helping students quickly improve and perfect their skills. “Modern simulators, like the ALSIM ALX, offer highly realistic environments with advanced technology that replicates the look and feel of an actual cockpit,” says Reed Willison, Saskatchewan Polytechnic Commercial Pilot program head and instructor. “With this new flight simulator students can experience various weather conditions, turbulence and other flight challenges in a controlled setting. This ALSIM ALX is particularly useful learning complex tasks that require a steep learning curve, like engine failure on takeoff, flying under high wind conditions and working as a team in an emergency. Thank you to PrairiesCan for investing in our Commercial Pilot program.”
Jason DA COSTA, Business Development and Sales Manager-North America, adds: “It is an honor to have been selected, once again, by Saskatchewan Polytechnic for the opportunity to provide their Commercial pilot diploma program with the ALSIM – state of the art, ALX flight training device. The ALSIM ALX is a reconfigurable flight training device that allows for a varied range of aircraft to be simulated. From single engine piston, twin turbine and medium category light jet. The ALX is a comprehensive training device that can take a pilot all the way to a type rating and provides excellent preparation for airline readiness. With 7 different flight models and fully Transport Canada approved, the ALX gives an outstanding return on investment.
